Quezon City · EST. 2019 · Five people, no account managers

Interfaces for companies that move goods, money, and people across Southeast Asia.

HILAGA is a small design and development studio. We take on four projects a year, design them in the open, and write the front-end code ourselves — so what ships is what you approved.

CapabilitiesWhat we take on

  • Product design

Flows, screens, and states for web apps — dashboards, onboarding, checkout. We design against your real data, not placeholder rows.

  • Front-end build

The two people who design your product also write its HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Nothing is lost in a handoff, because there isn't one.

  • Design systems

Tokens, components, and written usage rules your in-house team can extend after we leave. Documented in the codebase, not a slide deck.

  • Brand & identity

Wordmarks, type, and voice for companies that mostly live on screens. We only take brand work we'll also build the site for.

The studioSmall on purpose

Hilaga means "north" in Filipino. We started in 2019 in a two-room office above a printing press in Teachers Village, Quezon City, and we've stayed at five people since. Every project gets a designer, an engineer, and a producer — the same three humans from kickoff to launch.

Our clients are startup founders and marketing leads in the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam who need product work done properly the first time, on networks and devices their real customers actually use.

Bright open studio space with long shared work tables

We open two project slots per quarter. Q4 has one left.

Tell us what you're building and where it's stuck. We reply within two working days with an honest read on whether we're the right studio for it.
