Every project the studio has completed, oldest
to newest run in reverse. Three entries below open into a longer
case-study note — the row is a native <details>,
so it expands with no script.

Kestrel Row Housing
Eight terraced units share one courtyard instead of eight back gardens — the brief was density without the usual density penalty of everyone facing a fence. Cross-ventilation and deep eaves do most of the cooling; the mechanical plant is one shared heat pump the size of a fridge.
The exterior is unfinished blockwork, left rough on purpose — it weathers instead of ages, and the owners' body corporate has never once asked us about repainting it.
-
The Coaling House Hospitality
A disused coal store on the river's working bank, converted to a fourteen-room inn without pretending the building was ever anything else. The original crane rail runs the full length of the top floor — we kept it and hung the corridor lighting from it instead of tearing it out.
Guests check in at a desk built from the same rail steel, cut and re-forged by the same yard that used to service the crane. The client wanted "no lobby energy," and we think the grease-stained steel does that job better than any mood board could.

Marrow Branch Library Civic
A single-room branch library lit almost entirely by one large, carefully angled skylight — the reading room needs artificial light for barely three months of the year. The skylight well is lined in pale timber that bounces the light rather than beaming it, so there's no glare on the tables directly underneath.
The council's brief asked for "a quiet room that doesn't feel like a waiting room." The skylight did most of that work; we mostly stayed out of its way.
