The Studio

Since 2009

We build for the climate we have — shade, mass, air and a long patience with material.

STOA NORD is a small practice of architects and makers based in Manila. We work at the pace a building deserves: reading the site before drawing, testing in physical models, and returning to a handful of enduring materials — lime, stone, timber, cast concrete. Each project is led by a partner from first sketch to final handover, and we take on only a few commissions each year so that attention never thins.

Approach

What we do

01 Architecture Full design of new buildings and additions — houses, chapels, cultural and civic work — from concept through construction drawings.

02 Adaptive Reuse Careful reworking of heritage and existing structures, keeping what holds value and quietly extending its life.

03 Interiors & Objects Rooms, joinery and a small line of furniture drawn in-house and made with local workshops.

04 Site & Landscape Grounds, courtyards and thresholds considered as one continuous work with the building.
